Meet the GCMC Team


GCMC Mission
The Graduate Career Management Center is an educational department dedicated to providing Zicklin graduate students and alumni with the tools and resources necessary to successfully manage their careers while building relationships between employers and the Baruch community to help develop talent pipelines.





Fred Burke — Director

Fred comes to the Zicklin School of Business with over 15 years of experience in higher education career services. For the last six years, he was the Executive Director of the Career Center at Hofstra University. He finds great joy in helping students discover their career plans and implementing those plans into actual internships and jobs.





Lindsey Plewa — Deputy Director and Career Advisor

For more than a decade, Dr. Lindsey Plewa has coached thousands of students on how to successfully navigate a job search. Prior to working at Baruch College, she ran a professional development program for MBA students at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. In addition to being a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, she holds an MA from New York University and a Doctorate in Higher Education (EdD) from Northeastern University.








Annie Himmelsbach — Career Advisor

Annie has provided career counseling to undergraduate business majors at the University of San Francisco and to community college students at the College of San Mateo in addition to teaching career exploration and job search technique courses. Before earning her MS in Counseling, Annie was a professional dancer. Her goal in meeting with students is to provide constructive feedback while also instilling confidence.





Jack Pullara — Career Advisor

Jack was the partner responsible for on-campus recruiting at Baruch for the Risk Assurance practice in the New York Office. He continues to be actively involved in Baruch’s Executive Student Partnership (ESP) mentoring program and a member of Baruch’s Executives on Campus (EOC) Advisory Committee. He is a former PwC partner.




Jennifer Seidman — Career Advisor

Jennifer has worked in both the academic and corporate arenas. Previously, she held the role of Assistant Director of Graduate Career Services at Pace University before joining Merrill Lynch as a Corporate Recruiter and HR Generalist. Additionally, Jennifer currently works as a Contract Recruiter.





Justyn Makarewcz — Deputy Director, Employer Relations

Justyn Makarewycz has been with the GCMC since 2011, bringing experience in digital marketing and creative communications roles at various companies such as Gay.com, FleishmanHillard and AXA. He also led the New York metro-area office of a boutique recruiting firm, recruiting for digital and traditional marketing positions at small and large companies across various industries including AllianceBernstein, Carat, Disney Theatrical Productions and Siegel+Gale. Justyn works directly with employers seeking to engage Baruch’s MBA and MS students through networking opportunities, as well as for internships and full-time roles at their companies. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis.





Sydney Giller — Associate Director, Employer Relations

Syd
 Giller joined the GCMC in 2023. Syd brings with her experiences in recruiting at a tech startup and a large publicly traded company, having supported both companies’ corporate and go-to-market recruiting functions. She also spent several years in executive search supporting colleges and universities in hiring senior-level leaders, specializing in student affairs, academic deanships, and compliance roles. Syd works directly with employers seeking to engage Baruch’s MBA and MS students through networking opportunities, as well as for internships and full-time roles at their companies. She completed her undergraduate education at Union College and received her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
