I attended the Baruch Tech Expo on April 26, 2022. Over 10 firms from various data-intense sectors presented. The ratio of representatives-to-students was notably high. 

The event was comprised of 3 rounds of breakout sessions. Each session had 1-2 firms presenting. Each firm had 1-3 representatives present. 

The presenters were very engaging. Each presenter referenced roles that were actively hiring. A focus of the breakouts was getting into the details of the firms’ hiring process and what their hiring managers are looking for (e.g. certifications, relevant experience, demonstration of a passion in Business, etc.).

The Baruch Virtual Tech Expo was a great opportunity for students to learn exactly what firms are looking for today.

MS Information Systems, Cybersecurity and Information Assurance '23 student Palak Wadel shared with the GCMC about her work as a Power BI Engineer at Wolfspeed, a semiconductor manufacturing company.
